Workday exists as a ministry of RestoreOKC. To do practical deeds of justice and mercy that increase the safety, connection & physical beauty for our Northeast Oklahoma City neighbors.
ABOUT
Practicing loving our neighbor(s) through practical deeds of mercy. Every 2nd Saturday we come together to serve our Northeast Oklahoma City neighbors with home repairs & affordable housing as available.
What to Expect:
Location: 2222 NE 27th ST OKC, OK, 73111
Time: 8:30 am - 12pm
- If you see coffee and donuts outside (weather permitting) you are in the right place!
- Next step is to sign in. *If you are with a group, the leader will check everyone in for their whole team.
- Enjoy the moment! As people are starting to gather our guest speaker will be at the center to discuss a topic. After the speaker has finished, project locations and leaders will be announced.
- Read your email! The exact project you will be working on will be sent to you through an email, the Friday morning before the Workday. Once the speaker has finished, you will be split into your project site and have a project leader guiding you through the task.
- Safety: Please bring your own water and wear clothing that you don't mind getting paint, dirt, and sweat on. Wear comfortable and appropriate shoes to work in the garden, farm or on a home repair project.
- Projects: Most projects are outside and require physical labor. RestoreOKC provides all the materials and equipment for your project. *Please notify as soon as possible if accommodations are needed.
- Food and fellowship: Projects will reach a stopping point around 11:30 ish. Join us back at 2222 NE 27th ST for lunch. To ensure we have enough food, let us know if you'll stay for lunch in the comments section of the sign-up.
ATTENTION Team Leaders: You are responsible for covering these items with your group.

Key points to keep in mind:
- 3 week sign-up notice for a group larger than 10
- 2 week sign-up notice for individuals and groups smaller than 5.
- Slot’s fill up fast, please only register people who have committed coming to the event.
- First/last name, email required for each adult & child participant when registering your team. *If no email phone number is required.
- Your group is okay with being split up. *Will depend on project availability
- One designated leader for a team, responsible for checking in their entire group and sharing the "What to Expect" description.
- Register each kid's name and age if any in your group.
- Most projects are outside and require some sort of physical labor.

- Number of Volunteers Needed: There is no number requirement, groups of 10 or more required to have all participants registered & confirmed 3 weeks before the Workday.
- Time: 8:30 am - 12:00 pm
- Project Description (Exact project will be announced the Friday before Workday via email). To give you a general idea your group may be working in our giving garden: shoveling mulch, weeding, planting seeds; basic home repair: painting, demolishing, wood work, building a wheelchair ramp; senior ministry: delivering flowers, working at the senior center either preparing for an event, or moving furniture around.
- Materials/Equipment: Restore Homes will provide all materials, gloves, equipment to complete your project.
- Age Restrictions: Children 5 - 12 adult supervision required for the whole event, ages 13-18 must have a team leader supervising
- Serving requirements - i.e. background checks, etc.: Electronic volunteer waiver for all participants (This waiver is located on the final step of the team or individual sign-up)
